FIELD CALIBRATIONS	 

- Place unit on calibration standard block. - Press and hold the trigger. - After approximately 2 seconds and with the trigger pressed, press and hold the Mode button and then press the lock button. - The unit will begin collecting sample readings for the 10 seconds. - Unit will beep twice at the end of the sample period. Do not release the trigger as the unit now averages the samples taken and displays this average on the LCD - After the average value is displayed, press the Mode button once more. - Release the trigger. - Field  calibration is complete. OPERATING MODES Raw Data Mode - Press trigger. - Constantly displays a reading proportioned to the material below the surface.	     -  : -          :

*Scan Mode* - With trigger depressed, press the mode button once. - This sets the observed measured density into memory. - Unit will beep whenever there is a significant change in measured density. - If trigger is released and depressed again.
