Inspectors examine travel documents, such as passports, to determine where a passenger has traveled. Airline tickets also serve as valuable sources of information. More information can be gathered from these two documents than any others that the traveler may have. From the passport you can find out the date of issue (most mules have newly issued passports). Check to see what visas were issued, how long was the stay? Some countries stamp the passport with entrance / exit stamps. Does the itinerary told you by the traveler match these stamps? How many previous trips were made? Where did they visit? Is it a source / transit country?
